The club incorporates many elements of fun into both cycling and non-cycling activities, with no two years exactly the same.

Jersey Reveal Party

The cycling season is typically in full swing by May, and we celebrate with food, drink, and the unveiling and distribution of the new club jersey. This gathering is a fun, casual, off-the-bike opportunity for new and existing members to meet and talk about upcoming rides and activities.

Picnics, Pastries, and Parking Lot Drinks

Rides are sometimes scheduled with an organized activity like a scavenger hunt, lunch at a restaurant, picnic at a park, or riding to downtown Denver for coffee and donuts. Other times, there may be post-ride snacks and drinks in the parking lot or an impromptu outing to a coffee shop or brewery. Sometimes, we just ride, and that’s plenty of fun, too.

Out-of-Town Cycling Adventures

Each year there is an organized out-of-town cycling adventure, which typically alternates between out-of-state and somewhere within our beautiful state of Colorado. Past destinations have included Napa, Aspen, Tennessee, Steamboat Springs, Santa Barbara, Beaver Creek, Moab, and Sedona.

Cycling adventures combine organized rides with sightseeing, shared meals, and a good measure of unplanned time to spend as you wish. Memories from past trips include riding the Ink Grade in Napa, The Fig in Solvang, Independence Pass, Rabbit Ears Pass, The Big Nasty in Moab, and Mingus Mountain. Sightseeing outings included visits to the Silver Oak Winery, Salvatore Espresso Machines, Jack Daniels Distillery, Woody Creek Tavern, Moots Bicycle Factory, Strawberry Park Hot Springs, Arches National Park and Page Springs and Winery.

End-of-Season Celebration

In late October or early November, when the weather cools, the days get shorter, and the rides are fewer, the club celebrates the winding down of the season with food, drink, clever awards, and shared memories.
